Dynamic Duo Busted for Swiping $350K from Casino

The bold heist, orchestrated by Roberto Carlos Gonzales Miranda and Roberto Orellana, has sent shockwaves through the casino world. The daring duo is now facing charges for their scam that resulted in the theft of over $350,000 from the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe’s Grand River Casino in South Dakota.

Federal prosecutors wasted no time in catching up with the suspects, who have been indicted by a grand jury. The charges include conspiracy to commit wire fraud and conspiracy to commit theft.

This audacious scheme was carried out with precision, following a blueprint of previous attacks on casino properties. The plan began with an anonymous woman calling the casino’s cage manager, informing them that the property owed $700,000 in various fees. She claimed that a USPS delivery person would be arriving to pick up the money.

The cage manager was bombarded with strange and urgent requests, making it difficult to discern the truth. As the woman continued to speak on the phone, a text message instructed the manager to empty the vault and take the money to a Bitcoin ATM in Aberdeen.

Believing the text to be from their boss, the cage manager withdrew $352,000 and set out for Aberdeen. However, they were then instructed to meet Miranda at a gas station in Mitchell and hand over the funds in person.

The casino employee complied with the demands, turning over the stolen money to Miranda. The elaborate plan came crashing down when authorities caught wind of the theft and arrested the suspects.

The aftermath of this brazen robbery has left the casino community reeling. The authorities are determined to bring justice to those involved in this audacious crime. As one investigator stated, “This was a well-orchestrated scheme, but we will not rest until justice is served.” The perpetrators have learned the hard way that crime does not pay, particularly when it comes to defrauding casinos.
