Ex-Kizzang Head and High-Stakes Gambler in Vegas Faces Consequences for Fraudulent Deeds

Robert Alexander, a prominent figure in Las Vegas and the founder of the online gaming company Kizzang, is facing the consequences of his actions as he awaits his sentencing on January 14, 2024, for confessing to defrauding investors of over $1.3 million.

The legal battle that commenced over four years ago has cast a shadow over Alexander’s once opulent lifestyle and the digital gaming domain that he contributed to shaping. It serves as a cautionary tale regarding financial misconduct within the thriving gaming industry.

Established in 2013 in Nevada, Kizzang offered free online games and contests to the public. However, behind the façade of the enticing company, Alexander was misappropriating investor funds for personal indulgence. According to court records, he squandered approximately $280,000 in casinos and allocated around $580,000 towards extravagant living expenses, as per the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Living luxuriously off the ill-gotten gains, Alexander’s lifestyle comprised numerous gambling excursions and acquisitions of high-ticket items. His actions breached the trust that investors had placed in him.

In January 2020, Alexander entered guilty pleas on various fraud charges, such as securities and wire fraud, stemming from his deceitful scheme to deceive investors into believing that their funds would foster Kizzang’s gaming enterprise. Instead, he misused the money for personal gain, resulting in significant financial losses for investors. While federal guidelines recommend a potential prison term of up to 27 months for Alexander, his sentencing has faced delays attributed to his purported health issues.

Kizzang ceased operations in 2017, preceding the 2019 legal charges against Alexander. His downfall gained further public attention in 2021 following a confrontation with professional gambler Robert “RJ” Cipriani at Resorts World Las Vegas. Although Cipriani was arrested by law enforcement in connection with the altercation, a judge dismissed the theft and robbery allegations against him in 2022. This incident prompted increased scrutiny into Alexander’s questionable activities within Las Vegas casinos.
